* (Cowboy & Western) Everyone yell "yea haw" and get ready to "two step" the night away. Your
* package could consist of "new country" or Cowboy band or a country DJ, line dance instruction,
* Can-can song & dance, western roper, lasso & whip artist, Cigarette server girl, Impersonators:
* John Wayne, Mae West, Barber shop quartet, bluegrass, Indian shows, western clowns, Riverboat
* gambler magician(card, coin, rope tricks), casino tables; Menu BBQ chicken & ribs, roasted corn
* & potatoes, etc. Howling Wilderness Saloon & Gambling House = Country & western theme + Casino
* night party
• Goldrush Fever! Stake yer claim! gold miner theme… hide fake gold nuggets at the picnic site and the
* would hunt for them and then turn them in for prizes. A trackless train would take them to where they
* could hunt for the gold. On the way back there could be a hold up on the train and an actor/sheriff etc.
* would have a gun fight with the robber/s and save the kids from the robbery. There could also be an old
* time medicine show, and animal act, and story teller. And pony rides for the kids and possibly the bull ride
* for the adults. The person who plays the sherriff could deputize the kids with plastic badges etc maybe
* cowboy hats.
• Pow wow picnic: bring in teepees. Native Americans with artifacts and or replicas, have Dream Catchers & *necklace crafts for kids... to show the kids how Indians lived, story tellers, dancers, Indian field games, etc.
*pony rides, Tomahawk throw contest/rubber ones. Spear throwing/rubber too. Archery/suction cup.
• Friends of the forest picnic: bring in animal acts/educational to teach them about the animals in their
* local area....perhaps conservation education, a Petting zoo, Elephant

World Tropics Islands:
• Polynesian Hawaiian Luau, complete with roast pig, live music, hula & Tahitian dancing, Fireknife dancer,
* Tiki bar, Flower leis, Coconut shrimp, Fruit salad (or all finger foods)...Hula hoop contest, Hula lessons!
• Caribbean – Caribbean/Steel Drums band, Tropical Dance Party show…. The sounds of the Caribbean
* come alive! Let the music whisk you away to the sandy beaches of the Caribbean. You'll believe that you're
* basking under the tropical sun, feeling the warm sea breeze blowing through your hair, and feeling the warm
* sand trickling through your toes. And before the night's over, we'll get your toes tapping, up out of your
* seats dancing and seing "how low can they go" when you participate in a limbo!
• Survivor game show

Mainlands:
• African Safari – Big cat shows/photos, Elephant rides, baboons, Lion King
• Jungle/Rainforest – Animal shows: big cats, parrots, monkeys, Tarzan

World History & Culture
• A Medieval Picnic adventure …damsels & dragons Concept: provide an atmosphere of enchantment utilizing
* the following: An inflatable dragon ride, slide etc. or...inflatable castle, or both. Provide damsel hats for the
* girls and knight hats and swords etc. for the boys. Incorporate King Henry the 8th program into this theme.
* Field games would consist of the boys and girls splitting up. The girls would be in the inflatable castle or on the
* or dragon moonwalk etc., Jugglers/jesters/ dressed period clothing, Strolling Bards (musicians/storytellers)
* dressed in period clothing, Actual Knights that would be dressed in armor etc. do mock battles, answer
* questions/kids ask.
